Abstract

Climate is one of the most effective factors in human life. Climate classification refers to the regions that share common climatic characteristics. In this study, in order to do climatic classification of Ardebil Province according to the methods of classification of Kopen, Demarton, Amberje and Ivanov the data of all synoptic stations in 30 years (1975-2005) was used. After obtaining the climatic coefficients of each station, finally, using Arc GIS software, the maps of counter lines were drawn. All methods except Ivanov method could properly separate different zones of this province according to their climatic characteristics and show the climate variation of this province
